If you own a SIG SAUER P365, you already know the platform punches above its weight. But swap the grip module, and you can unlock a whole new level of performance. Two of the most talked-about options right now are the ECM Precision R11 and the Icarus Precision ACE 365 X-Macro.
Both elevate the P365 into a more confident shooter, but they take different routes. The Icarus ACE 365 is already a staple in the community, while the ECM R11, released in early 2025, is new, clean, and more refined. After running both, my verdict is simple: the R11 takes the crown.
ECM Precision R11 – Newcomer With Refinement

The R11 P365 Macro grip module (ECM Precision) is a fresh release in 2025. Don’t let its newcomer status fool you—it’s one of the most refined grip modules I’ve handled.
Material & Weight: Machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, the R11 adds heft (~7.6 oz), flattening recoil and improving return-to-sight.
Ergonomics: Inspired by 2011 design, it has a clean beavertail, thumb shelves, and angles that promote a locked-in grip.
Fitment: Built around the P365 Macro/XL (3.7") slide lengths and 17-round magazines; available in both manual safety and standard cut versions.
Finishes: Hardcoat anodized or Cerakote for durability.
The result is a grip that makes the P365 feel less like a micro-compact and more like a mini-performance gun. It’s smooth, clean, and looks intentional, not “aftermarket.”

Icarus Precision ACE 365 X-Macro – The Established Workhorse
Icarus Precision is a household name in the P365 upgrade world, and the ACE 365 X-Macro is their flagship aluminum grip module.
Material & Weight: Aluminum construction, heavier than OEM polymer, designed to absorb recoil and stabilize the gun.
Ergonomics: Features Icarus’ distinct ergonomic geometry with undercuts, indexing points, and an extended beavertail.
Fitment: Designed for P365 XL and Macro length slides, supporting extended magazines.
Reputation: The ACE line has years of proven use and wide adoption in the community.
It’s rugged, stylish, and a serious step up from OEM polymer. But compared to the R11, the ACE’s lines feel a bit busier—more “industrial” and less polished.
Side-by-Side Comparison
Feature | ECM R11 (New 2025) | Icarus ACE 365 X-Macro |
Material | Aluminum (aircraft grade) | Aluminum |
Weight | ~7.6 oz (recoil-dampening) | Heavier than OEM, similar benefit |
Ergonomics | Refined 2011-inspired design | Aggressive, industrial geometry |
Release | Early 2025 (new) | Well-established, proven |
Options | Manual safety cut / finishes | Multiple ACE variants |
Look & Feel | Clean, modern, “2011 vibe” | Rugged, tactical styling |
Price | Premium ($450–500 range) | Premium, similar pricing |
My Verdict: The R11 Stands Out
The Icarus ACE 365 is a proven upgrade, and it deserves its reputation. But side-by-side, the ECM R11 feels like a more refined product. It’s smoother in the hand, cleaner in design, and shoots flatter thanks to its balance and thoughtful geometry.
The reason the R11 isn’t yet as widely known is simply timing—it was only released in early 2025. Icarus has years of brand recognition, but ECM came in hot with a grip module that feels more complete.
If you want a grip that transforms the P365 into a micro-2011 style carry gun with real refinement, the R11 is the winner.
Where to Buy
You can grab your SIG SAUER P365 at Brownells and use code BOP10 for savings. Once you’ve got the gun, upgrade to the ECM Precision R11 to experience the best grip module on the platform.
Bottom Line:
The Icarus ACE 365 is established, aggressive, and proven.
The ECM R11 is new, cleaner, and better refined.
For me, the R11 edges it out—it’s not just another grip module, it’s a performance upgrade that redefines the P365.
